HI RES was a collaborative project of Respond/Design and the Graduate Student Alliance at RISD. The exhibition showcased student work from several fine art and design departments, all of which addressed the social and environmental concerns of our day.
The publication featured writings by the participating students, commentary by the curators, as well as guest essays from faculty and visiting professors and a forward by David Orr. It was first released on the occasion of the HI RES opening reception and distributed via trade for an art or design book. Over 100 books were collected during the event and donated to a local public high school library.
