In contrast to objects which lose value with age, the passage of time and repeated use lend richness to this reusable filter.
As each cup is brewed the filter gradually reveals decorative patterns woven into its structure . The patterns are achieved by weaving the filter from a combination of fibers that take the stain and fibers that resist coloration.
The patterns are drawn form ornamental motifs native to coffee growing regions of the world, subtly evoking the global coffee trade and the time and labor that went into each cup.
